After a stint of 4 years as NHL Director of Officiating, Stephen Walkom took the decision to come back to his Referee's duties for the upcoming season.
His record speaks for itself with multiple participations to the Stanley Cup Finals, representing the NHL at the Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002, the 2004 World Cup where he refereed the Finals, etc.
François St-Laurent was hired in 2003 and spent the last 6 years between the AHL and NHL after a very successsful amateur career. He has worked multiple Calder Cup Finals [AHL Championship] and already has close to 100 games in the NHL.
The NHLOA and its Members would like to congratulate Stephen and François and wish them all the best for the upcoming season.
